The aim of the metals policy mix is to reduce the mining associated with EU consumption of metals by 80% without a significant increase in the use of other resources or other environmental impacts. This requires a significant reduction particularly in the use of iron, copper and gold ores. Our vision is to reach the target through a combination of increased recycling and material efficiency.
